Craftsmanship and Design:

The Durango Cabinet features two intricately designed doors adorned with wrought iron panels, adding a touch of elegance and sophistication to any space. The wrought iron panels enhance the aesthetic appeal and allow for a peek inside, adding an element of curiosity to the piece.

The wrought iron is complemented by twisted iron hardware and hand-pounded iron clavos, which add character and charm to the cabinet. Each element is meticulously crafted by skilled artisans, showcasing the rich tradition of Mexican furniture making.

Materials and Finish:

Constructed from high-quality pine wood, the Durango Cabinet boasts a rich dark stain that accentuates the natural beauty and grain of the wood. The stain enhances the piece's durability and highlights the intricate details and craftsmanship that goes into every inch of the cabinet.

Functionality:

Practicality meets style with the Durango Cabinet. Inside, you'll find three spacious shelves, providing ample storage space for displaying your favorite decor pieces, storing dinnerware, or organizing household essentials. A convenient bottom drawer offers extra storage for smaller items, keeping your space clutter-free and organized.

Versatility:

The beauty of the Durango Cabinet lies in its versatility. Whether placed in a living room, hallway, kitchen, dining room, or even a bedroom, this piece effortlessly elevates the ambiance of any space. Its timeless design seamlessly blends with various decor styles, from rustic and traditional to modern and eclectic, making it a must-have addition to any home.

Like all our furniture pieces, the Durango Cabinet is meticulously handmade in Mexico by skilled artisans who take pride in their craft. Photo One:

In the first photo, we've paired the Durango Cabinet with a selection of handpicked treasures that add texture, color, and personality to your space. The beautiful blue and turquoise large clay rosary beads hanging from our rawhide-wrapped Kiva ladder create a striking focal point, infusing the space with a sense of spirituality and serenity.

Complementing the cabinet is a gorgeous cube cowhide ottoman, a copper steer head, and a Tarahumara drum, each adding its unique flair to the ensemble. Together, these pieces create a harmonious balance of rustic charm and modern sophistication, inviting you to relax and unwind in style.

Photo Two:

In the second photo, we invite you to look inside the Durango Cabinet, where a treasure trove of artisanal delights awaits. The distressed terracotta vase with green coloring adds a pop of natural beauty, while the tall, rawhide-wrapped Kiva ladder adds height and dimension to the space.

A colorful rustic hand-painted Retablo and a clay Our Lady of Guadalupe in distressed blue infuse the space with cultural richness and tradition. Inside the cabinet, you'll find a very detailed clay angel, a hand-pounded copper bowl with handles, and an incredible handblown pitcher and glassware set, each adding a touch of luxury and refinement to your home.

To illuminate your space with warmth and beauty, we've paired the ensemble with a beautiful Estrella lamp featuring colorful marbles for a unique sparkle. The light casts a soft and inviting glow, perfect for cozy evenings at home.

Rich Helmer

Originally from the Chicago suburb of Elgin, Illinois, Rich Helmer's family headed west to Arizona just before his final years of high school. Rich became instantly fascinated with the desert southwest. Its renowned grandeur and mysterious energy would profoundly influence his later work, as would the endless beaches of Mexico and Southern California. Rich's sonic creativity emerged at an early age, as did his unorthodox approach to artistic ventures.

As a primarily self-taught guitarist and songwriter, Rich has never been one to live by a handbook. However, after devoting most of his life to music, he abandoned his true passion and decided to seek a more "realistic" vocation. The decade-long diversion is something that Rich still occasionally laments, but he also knows that the past is just that - the past. Fortunately, Rich decided to dust off his vintage Telecaster and pursue his love of photography, leaving him with little time for regrets.

Rich dares us to consider what possibilities may lie along the path less traveled with both humility and purpose. Whether provocative, soul-stirring, inspiring, disconcerting, or some combination of these, the overarching theme in Rich's work is that, for him, the lens is much more than a curved piece of glass; it is a vehicle through which viewers can experience worlds that might have otherwise remained hidden.
